Many people have their own perspectives on the meaning of success.To define a person’s life as a successful one,it is mostly dependent on our individual measure of success.To me,I feel that a person’s life is optimum so long as he gave his best in everything he does,like what Mr.Winston Churchill said,“Success is not final,failure is not fatal:it is the courage to continue that counts.” A person does not necessarily have to succeed in something the first time he does it to be successful.If he persisted and did not gave up despite of numerous obstacles,and eventually he will achieve something.He will definitely achieve what he had always aspired to have/be,and more valuable things like experience,supportive friends and certain moral values might come along with it.
We can tell if a person is successful by looking at their goals and their achievements.If he gained everything that he ever wanted through blood and sweat,then he is a very successful person.It showed that he never gave up and his hard work had paid off,what can be a greater success than that?However,if a person’s achievement is not acquired with his own hands,but through sinister exploitation and cheating of others,then he is nothing of a gainer but a cunning failure who is reluctant to be diligent but desire for all the success.
Therefore,the best way to tell if a person is successful in life is to look at if they are hardworking and persistent.As the saying by Confucius goes ““Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.” The one who will have the last laugh is the one who triumphed over the most obstacles.
