Hello everyone,good morning / afternoon / evening
I am eally honoured to have been given this opportunity to stand up here in front of you all and be able to say a few words.As we all know that today's topic is about "savings".But this word "saving" itself has a very extensive meanings,which could mean that someone is saving up for Christmas or for the New Year.Or may be saving up to buy a new car or saving up to get married.
But the "savings" we are talking about today isn't the above.The one we talk about is much more far reaching,which is not just an individual involvement.It is a movement that many or most people need to participate.The result from the movement or action will have a great impact on other people or even to the entire population and that is:energy savings!
Along with the rapid development of our world,in order to safisfy our energy needs,a great deal of harm has been done to our enironment in the process of looking for new resource.It is now the time we all should stop for minute and think about the future of our world for the sake of our younger generations.
We must try not to waste our resource and have to learn to save the energy.We can actually start from very small things,like turning off the TV when no one is watching it.Turn off the lights when no one is in the room.Use less car and taking trains and buses instead to save fuel.Same as water and gas,which we need to use them wisely too.If many of us are doing the same thing then a lot of energy and resource will be saved.When we don't use quite as much of electricity then there will be no need to produce quite as much too.If we produce less electricity that would mean we don't need to use quite as much fuel.When less fuel is needed then we don't need to drill for oil all over the place.Eventually,our environment will not be quite as polluted and wild life will be protected as well.
So,please think environmental friendly,save energy,save your resource and make our world tomorrow a better place for everyone of us to live in!

Save the Energy Resources Another round of energy crisis is knocking at the door. In 2004, world oil consumption reached a new record, causing oil price in the international market to skyrocket amazingly. As for China, it was reported that many traditional mineral cities in northeastern China had run into predicament, with their economy collapsed and workers unemployed, only because coal had been mined out.
Fossil energy resources, including coal, oil and gas, are unlike sunlight, water power and wind power which are generated consistently. They’re not practically reproductive during human history. Once consumed, they’re gone forever. If they were to be exhausted before we could find sufficient reproductive resources to replace them with, we’d have to live in entire blackout again like our ancestors have done thousands of years ago. That’s of course not what anyone would want to see.
Due to technical limitations, people still have to utilize these resources now.
As a result, we must economize them most cleverly. New techniques should be developed and applied to reduce energy cost in industry and daily life. Alternative energy should be employed wherever possible. Eradicate any practice that wastes energy. Humans have overcome so many crises in history, and we’re sure to win this time also.

How to Reduce Waste and Save Money
The Environmental Protection Agency has estimated that in 5 to 8 years most of our landfills will be closed because they will be filled to capacity. We must change our present generation's concept of waste from "disposable" to "sustainable" and change our behavior and habits if we want to conserve and rebuild our planet and contribute significantly to environmental, economic and public health issues.
This article will show some ways to help you reduce waste and work to support and clean up our communities and the planet.
1 Instill the mantra of the "four R's" to society: Remember, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It is important to understand that breaking old habits and learning new ways of behaving and changing our conditioned thought patterns can take a while, but it is possible. First, you have to make a conscious decision to start and then to continue to unlearn and relearn new ways about waste. Educating young children in the home and in our schools is so vitally important, since they are our future and will inherit the legacy that we will eventually leave behind.
2 RECYCLE, RECYCLE AND RECYCLE. Set up recycle bins or containers for specific types of disposables, e.g. plastic, paper, vegetable-based food wastes. Make it a habit to do this regularly and teach your kids to be role models for their peers. Good habits taught at a young age will last longer and be more effective. Take the recycled wastes or materials to the local recycling center where you can make some pocket cash as a reward for your efforts and energy in helping the planet.
1.REUSE, REUSE, REUSE whenever possible. Support local thrift shops, charities and non-profit organizations by making donations. Make an effort to "spring clean" your house on a regular basis and pack the items that you don't want anymore to donate. Save money by purchasing used clothing and toys for your kids at thrift shops. Toys and clothing can get very expensive, especially if you have several children to provide for. You can also save by giving your kids each other's hand-me-downs instead of purchasing everything new.
4 Help to conserve and preserve what is left of our forests and wildlife by eliminating unnecessary paper use and junk mail by paying bills electronically. Stop unwanted junk mail. Buy products from recycled materials or recycled containers.
5 Don't use plastic bags at the grocery store. Always ask for recycled brown bags when shopping--or better still--try to bring your own reusable bag with you every time you do your shopping.
6 Use biodegradable products like biodegradable diapers and biodegradable pet waste bags
