I think it is not proper to consider any type of cell more useful than another,or,than the others.
My reason:
Every of the individual plants is a highly integrated and functional system.It needs all kinds of cells to complete its physiological activity,to have a complete circulation of life.Even those dead cells take very important part in the plant,such as the vessels and the dead cells on the periderm.That is to say,any cell maintained in a plant is part of some sort of mission.Cells that no longer functional will be decomposed immediately as they are identified.
So,it is not scientific or objective to say that one type of cell is more useful than other ones.
